The Indian captain Virat Kohli has been  a role model for the youth both on the field and off the field. His fitness and love for the sport are things that inspire many people around the world and due to these reasons his fan following also keeps on multiplying each and every hour. The latest name added to the important fans list is the newly crowned Miss World Manushi Chhillar, who recently revealed her love for the India’s batting icon and also said that he is her favourite cricketer in the world currently.

Manushi was recently crowned the winner of the beauty contest for the first time since famous Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra also won the same title 17 years ago. She has also been in the news recently for having a curious question for the Indian team skipper. The question was that how will Virat try to give back to all his thousands of young fans who seek him as an inspiration in their day to day lives. The youth icon also had a definite answer to the question which he revealed at a recent stage.

At an event for the News Channel Aaj Tak, Chhillar revealed that Kohli has achieved a lot in his cricketing career so far. She also spoke about her love for the Indian captain and the inspiration he has been in many people’s lives. All her emotions were revealed, when she said that the 29-year old is her favourite cricketer  in the world recently because of his contributions for the team.

“I love Virat Kohli, he has achieved a lot,” said Manushi Chhillar at the Aaj Tak event as quoted by Times Now.

Manushi’s question for Virat and his fitting reply

“You are one of the best batsman in the world today and you’ve been such an inspiration. You’ve really given back to the society. But there are a lot of young people who draw inspiration from you. How would you like to give back for children, especially in the world of cricket?” asked the beauty queen.

The inspiration cricketer also had an interesting reply for the question, stating that one needs to be genuine and hardworking on the field. The pretending thing does not work in sports and people also tend to recognize you very easily. He also pointed out to the fact that the change which the skipper has brought in his lifestyle is a major reason in the success achieved so far.

“Well, what’s very important to understand is when you do what you do and you express yourself on the field, it has to be genuine and it has to be from the heart. Otherwise if people find out that you’re trying to pretend, then they can never connect to you. I’ve never tried to be anyone else. I’ve always been myself; I always mention that people had a lot of issues with how I was, how I conducted myself, but I had never had any problems with that,” said Kohli.

“The moment I started to think that I need to change, is the only time I changed. Everyone has to go through a mutual process to be where they get to in life to become more mature. What’s very important to understand is one should never lose their own identity, character and personality because if you try to be someone else you can never succeed, and you can never inspire others,” he added
