Steve Smith has generated impressive numbers in IPL cricket

And now, as per IPL protocols, all the players will have to compulsorily undergo one week of quarantine, and Smith will do the same once he arrives in India. The Delhi Capitals’ (DC) side will play their opening match against three-time IPL champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on 10th April 2021.

Steve Smith has generated glittering numbers in his IPL career. The Aussie has scored 2333 runs in IPL cricket and has scored his runs at a respectable average of 35.34. He has also scored his runs at a strike rate of 129.25.

Smith even has the experience of leading an IPL side. Smith has led an IPL side on 43 occasions and has a win percentage of 59.52% in IPL cricket. Even though Rishabh Pant will be leading the Delhi outfit this season, Smith will bring with him a wealth of experience that will be of immense value to the Delhi Capitals’ (DC) outfit.

The Delhi Capitals have never managed to win the IPL trophy even once. The Delhi outfit reached the summit clash of the 2020 edition of the IPL that was held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) but lost to the Mumbai Indians (MI) side. They will be looking to lay their hands on the IPL trophy in the 2021 IPL season.
