Hasan Ali was outstanding with the ball in the first T20I match that took place between Pakistan and Bangladesh. The pacer picked up 3 wickets in his 4-over spell and leaked only 22 runs, constantly put the brakes on the Bangladesh scoring rate, and helped his side to a 4-wicket victory.

And now, Ali has opened up on his success. The 27-year-old said that he experienced tough times during the T20 World Cup with the ball, but he noted down all his weaknesses and worked on them. Adding that the Pakistan fans are an emotional lot, Ali dedicated his Man of the Match award to the people of Pakistan.

“I faced tough time throughout the T20 World Cup which happens in the game. But, I noted down my weaknesses and worked on them as soon as we reached here. I know our fans are too emotional about this game but I would like to thank them for all their support. This man-of-the-match award is for them,” said Hasan Ali after the first T20I.

Our team is doing really well: Hasan Ali

Hasan Ali also added that the current Pakistan side is doing very well on the field. Ali further elucidated that there is a new performer who springs up in every match for the Pakistan side and concluded by stating that Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz performed well for the Babar Azam led side in the 1st T20I.

“Our current team is doing really well. As you saw, new performer in every match of the T20 World Cup. Today also, Nawaz and Shadab came up with performances. So, it’s going really well,” concluded Hasan Ali.

With Pakistan having taken a 1-0 lead, Bangladesh will have to compulsorily post a victory in the second rubber to stay alive in the series. The second T20I will take place on 20th November 2021 at the Shere Bangla Stadium in Dhaka.
