Former West Indian legend and fast bowler Ian Bishop feels that the current pace attack of the Indian cricket team, which is very competent, will help the team to be more of success in the foreign conditions. The current crop of Indian pace bowlers has delivered huge success for the team led by skipper Virat Kohli, with Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami leading the team from the bowling department.

The spinners, might not have much of an effect in the overseas tour as the tour to Australia and South Africa where the deliveries might not get the turn that these spinners get back at home. In an interview with pakpassion.net, Bishop commented on the Indian pace outfit, to which Ian Bishop replied, “It’s good, it’s good. Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah – they’re all good.”

“They all bring different skill-sets. Bumrah’s changes of pace and yorkers, Bhuvneshwar swings the ball, and he’s had to adapt his game to different pitches and conditions now. He’s put on a little bit of pace too. Shami and Yadav are very sharp and quick. So it’s competent,” the West Indian added.

Ian Bishop, who now officiates as a cricket commentator, further asserted that this Indian bowling outfit would do well even in the overseas conditions. He further said that the current crop of Indian pace bowlers had been the best of all the pace bowlers that the country has had, regarding accuracy and pace.

The Indian pacers have showcased their abilities to swing the ball both ways while generating great pace and have been successful both home and away.
