ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Warm up matches full schedule, teams and venues
Two venues have been shortlisted as the grounds for these matches.

The 2017 edition of the ICC Champions Trophy is all set to get underway. The 8 participating teams have started their preparations for the ICC mega event. The hosts England will be playing South Africa in a short 3-match ODI series in the lead up to the tournament. The series will commence on May 24. England and South Africa will be taking the series as their preparatory ground for the Champions Trophy that kicks off on June 1.
Meanwhile, the other 6 participating teams – India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and Australia – will compete in the warm-up matches in their bid to get the combinations right before the tournament proper. The first of the warm up fixtures will commence on May 26. All teams will play a couple of matches each as the fans will get to see the teams engaged in a total of six warm-up fixtures.
Two venues have been shortlisted as the grounds for these matches. Kennington Oval in London and Edgbaston in Birmingham will be the two venues for the warm fixtures. Considering the main tournament, a total of 15 matches spread across three venues in England. The three venues for the tournament are Birmingham, London, and Cardiff.
Australia will take on Sri Lanka in the first match in the warm-up fixtures for the Champions Trophy. The defending champions India will play their first warm-up match on May 28 against New Zealand. Their second warm-up game will be against the Asian rivals Bangladesh on May 30. May 30 will witness two matches as against the other days which would see one warm-up game get underway.
