ICC Fanstany Game

ICC Fanstany GameThe ICC has launched a fantasy game on their official website for the ongoing World T20 2016. The fantasy leagues have made a major part of cricketing banter for the better part of the decade in a bid to promote competitiveness between fans from different cricketing backgrounds. . However, this time, around, the interactive features introduced by the ICC has been simply amazing. In addition, the fantasy league is flexible and allows you to choose the league as per your choice. Social media handle Facebook or even the personal mail can be used to login.

The fantasy game by the ICC is divided in two. These two fantasy games include a classic game and a Super 6’s game. While both options are open to use, the classic game will be perhaps the one that is more preferred. The classic game allows you to choose a team and stick with the same team for the entire duration of the tournament. The schedule for the fantasy league is divided into for phases, with each phase consisting of 10 to 12 matches each.

The team selection includes picking players based on their popularity index as well as their caliber and class. The players are priced accordingly and a budget is set for each team. Apart from just managing the team, the feature to join and create leagues is also open. A minimum of 4 batsmen, 4 bowlers, 1 wicketkeeper and an all-rounder is compulsory for each team. A maximum of 7 players can be selected from one country while the skipper of the side is awarded double the points. A stealth mode is also added as one of the niche features. The stealth mode allows you to hide the transfers made just before the match. There is also an autocomplete feature that allows you to pick players on a valid criteria.

The transfer system has also been revised as opposed to the previous transfer policies followed in fantasy league games. While the transfer system remains unlimited for the Super 6’s league, the transfers for the classic league is limited. Interestingly, the number of transfers continually reduce during each phase. While the number of transfers at the start of Phase 1 is 24, it reduces to 10 in the fourth and final phase. The transfer deadline is just before the first ball is bowled.

The two types of leagues one can join are the private leagues and the Supporter leagues. A private league includes an individual who has created a league wherein people can join in. In contrast, the Supporters League includes a team or a player which is created for fans of the team or the player. For example, all New Zealand players will be a part of the Black Caps league.
