Malaysia and Qatar find themselves in similar position ahead of their clash on Saturday in the T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier. For qualifying for the next stage, which is the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers, both the teams need a really huge win. The hosts Singapore is one of the two sides that makes through to the Qualifiers. Singapore won two matches out of the three they played while another game was abandoned.

Four teams are fighting for the remaining one spot but Malaysia and Qatar’s chances depend on other results. The two teams need Nepal to beat Kuwait on Saturday morning as Kuwait’s points tally goes to five if they win this game and will join Singapore. At the same time, the two sides have to win this game by around 50 runs so that they can be ahead of Nepal on NRR if Singapore beats them on Sunday.
