Preview for Dream11 Fantasy

The arch-rivals India and Pakistan will face-off in the first semi-final of the ongoing Under-19 World Cup in South Africa. The boys in blue stunned Australia in the quarter-finals while their counterparts got the better of Afghanistan. Pakistan bowled well to bundle the opposition out for 189 runs and then chased down the total without much fuss thanks to a composed half-century from Muhammad Huraira.

India, on the other hand, were tested to the hilt against Australia. Their batting struggled but Atharva Ankolekar and Ravi Bishnoi stitched a crucial partnership to take the score beyond 200. And then it was the time for the bowlers to take over. Kartik Tyagi led the way bowling a couple of snorters in his very first over as the Aussies lost three in the over. They never controlled from the early losses and eventually lost the game by a huge margin.

India and Pakistan have always enthralled the fans whenever they’ve locked horns in a World Cup. With this being a knockout game, expect both the teams to give their 100% for the victory.

Weather Report

The forecast for this crucial game is not so great. The dark clouds will be hovering over the stadium throughout the day. While the rain threat is expected to stay for the whole day, the heavens might open up with thunderstorms at 1 PM. From 1 to 3 in the afternoon, there is around a 50% chance of rain while the temperature will hover in the early 20s according to AccuWeather.

Pitch Report

The surface at the Senwes Park has been a decent one to bat. Three out of last four matches, the side batting first has crossed the 230-run mark while the chasing has proved to be extremely difficult. Though the teams should bat first after winning the toss, overhead conditions might dictate terms. The new ball is expected to swing and both the sides might want to bowl first.

Average first innings score: 247 (Four completed matches played at the venue in U19 WC 2020) (AFG v AUS match not considered)

Record of the chasing teams: Won – 1; Lost – 3
