Match Details:

The 11th match of the 2019 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier between Scotland Women and Bangladesh Women will be hosted by the Forthill in Dundee.

The match starts at 2:00 PM local time (1:00 PM GMT) (6:30 PM IST).

Preview:

The hosts Scotland women are on the verge of missing out on the chance of qualifying to the next year’s T20 World Cup. Their loss against Papua New Guinea opened up the Group A. All the four sides will be eyeing to qualify for the semi-final. Bangladesh Women are the opponents for the Scottish side on Tuesday. Bangladesh are in a safe zone having boosted their NRR with a huge win over USA.

They edged past PNG in a rain-affected match on Monday which was played on a reserve day. All they would need to do is to keeping down the NRR as low as possible. At this stage, the Scotland team needs to win this match against Bangladesh and hope PNG doesn’t win by a big margin against the USA. Scotland NRR is currently the second-best among the teams in their group.

Weather Condition/Report:

The weather continues to trouble the games at the Forthill in Dundee. The rains at this venue nearly got the Bangladesh-PNG match washed out on the reserve day too. The threat remains for the last day of the group stage too. A shortened game is well expected on Tuesday.

Pitch Condition/Report:

Basically, the Forthill has been a venue that suits the slow bowlers. With the game between Scotland and Bangladesh set to be played on a used track, the team winning toss could elect to bat first only. The sides that batted first here have 100% win record.
