Australia will be up against Sri Lanka in the first of the doubleheaders on Saturday. The fortunes of these two teams thus far in the tournament have been quite opposite. While Australia lost just one game out of four, Sri Lanka won one out of four. The Asian team is yet to be tested in the tournament and have been quite fortunate to be placed on the fifth position in the points table.

Sri Lanka’s last two games were washed out without a ball being bowled and the team has had a long break after the victory against Afghanistan. Beating the mighty Aussies wouldn’t be an easy task for the Lankans and they could even be slightly rusty due to the break. When picking the Dream11 Fantasy team, there aren’t many choices to make. The Australian players’ stats are much better, and the number could help you make the best picks from the Sri Lanka team.

Here we bring to you the Dream11 Fantasy team based on the stats of the players:

There are hardly any options from the wicketkeeper’s category. It is better if you stick to just one wicketkeeper in your team keeping the other picks in mind. One player has to be chosen between Kusal Perera and Alex Carey who are not differentiated a great deal by the numbers. But since he has scored more runs, you can possibly go ahead with the Sri Lankan player.

Unlike the wicketkeeper’s category, there are plenty of options to choose from the batsmen’s category. The Australian openers David Warner and Aaron Finch have got the best figures amongst all these players. Thus, Warner can be your captain and Finch – the vice-captain. The other player whose numbers are impressive from the Australian team is Usman Khawaja who has scored 186 runs in the last five outings. From the Sri Lanka team, you can possibly go ahead with Dimuth Karunaratne.

Glenn Maxwell should be the first-choice pick in this category. The 30-year-old has done a fair job with the bat when compared to some of the other players. For the other all-rounder, you can go with Dhananjaya de Silva as he just consumes 8 credits. Some of the other players who boast of better numbers come at much higher credits and it is tough to accommodate them in the Dream11 Fantasy team.

Pat Cummins has accounted for 12 wickets in the last five ODI games that he has played in. Thus, he is an obvious pick in your team. Mitchell Starc and Nuwan Pradeep can be the other two picks in your Fantasy team. Both these bowlers have picked up 11 wickets each in the previous five outings. While Kane Richardson could be your final pick, his place in the playing eleven is not certain. If he does play, you should select him. Otherwise, you can possibly go with Lasith Malinga to maintain the balance of the team.
