Bangladesh and West Indies will be desperate to get back to winning ways when they take on each other in the twenty-third match of the World Cup 2019 at the Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton. Both the teams have experienced a similar journey in the World Cup so far. West Indies and Bangladesh started their campaign in stunning fashion. While Bangladesh stunned South Africa in their tournament-opener, West Indies thrashed Pakistan in their first game of the tournament.

However, things have only gone downhill since then. Both the teams have lost two games while one of their games was washed out. Consequently, West Indies and Bangladesh have only three points from four games. West Indies are placed sixth in the points table while Bangladesh are at eighth due to Net Run Rate. Winning the upcoming contest is very crucial for both sides. While a win will keep them very much on track for a semifinal spot, a loss will all but end the hopes of progressing ahead.

West Indies enter this game on the back of thumping loss at the hands of England. The World Cup hosts dismissed West Indies for only 212 thanks to pacers Jofra Archer and Mark Wood, who took three wickets each. In reply, England chased down the total inside 34 overs by losing just one wicket. Joe Root starred with the bat, hammering his second ton of the tournament.

On the other hand, Bangladesh’s last game against Sri Lanka was washed out. Before that, they too had lost to England. The Tigers had lost that game by 106 runs. After conceding 386, they were all out for just 280 despite Shakib Al Hasan’s century.

How’s the weather expected to be:

The weather forecast is very promising for the upcoming game. According to AccuWeather, the chances of rainfall at the start of the game will be around 20. However, it would soon drop down to around seven per cent and will remain like that throughout the day. Thus one can only expect slight drizzle at most when the game will underway in Taunton. As far as the temperature is concerned, it will be hovering between 15-20 degrees Celsius throughout. The humidity will be in the 60s for the most part of the game while the cloud coverage will be around 70 percent.
