While the Windies are already knocked out of the tournament, Sri Lanka are on the cusp of joining them. Another loss and the Lankans will be out of the race. Thus, they’ve got to play their best possible cricket and certainly not the way they showed up against South Africa in the last match.
After the massive 125-run loss to India, Windies will be looking to bouncing back hard. The Caribbean team will give it their all and possibly get another win under their belt. While it is expected to be a tough competition between these two teams, picking the Dream11 Fantasy team based on the statistics shouldn’t be as difficult.
Here we bring to you the Dream11 Fantasy team based on the stats of the players:
Kusal Perera and Shai Hope have got near identical numbers in their last five outings. While the former has scored 191 runs, the Windies wicketkeeper has amassed 181 runs. Both these players are usually quite reliable for their teams. Since they get to bat in the top-order, they should be decent picks in your Dream11 Fantasy team.
Sunil Ambris has scored the most number of runs amongst all the available players. However, he hasn’t played much of late and you can’t take the risk of having him as a multiplier purely going by the stats. While he can be in your team, you should look for someone else as the multiplier. Shimron Hetmyer has been great with 182 runs and also got two fifties in the last five innings. Thus, he will be good enough as the captain of the team. Avishka Fernando can be the vice-captain while Dimuth Karunaratne will be the other player from this category.
Both Jason Holder and Carlos Brathwaite have done a decent job with the bat as well as the ball. While Dhananjaya de Silva can also be considered, he hasn’t scored as many runs with the bat. Thus, you can proceed with the two Windies players as credits aren’t a huge concern while selecting this eleven.
With 9 and 8 wickets respectively, Lasith Malinga and Sheldon Cottrell are the leading wicket-takers from these two sides when the last five games are considered. While these two are an obvious choice going by the stats, the third pick from this category can get slightly tricky. Isuru Udana is a certainty to be in the playing XI and has picked up five wickets. His average and economy are slightly better than some of the other players and he can be the other pick.
