In the last 15 years, Team India has evolved into one of the powerhouses in world cricket. After a gap of 28 years, they managed to emerge the world leaders by lifting the World Cup in 2011. This has been one of the best phases for cricket in the country as they set their eyes on the third World Cup. Ahead of the tournament, Indian skipper, Virat Kohli released a new anthem in association with Puma and Sara Ali Khan is absolutely obsessed with it.

Sung by Indian rapper Divine, this song managed to impress the fans. They absolutely fell in love with the lyrics and the tune making it instantly viral. In his Instagram post, Virat Kohli termed this to be the biggest anthem for the biggest stage. “Seedha seedha seedha shot dete haan! The biggest anthem for the biggest stage. Our mantra for this World Cup – #SockThem! ???? @vivianakadivine@pumaindia #CWC19,” he wrote in his post.

Bring it home, says Sara Ali Khan

Sara Ali Khan, one of the new-age actresses in Bollywood and the daughter of Saif Ali Khan, has gained a huge fan base after her role in films Kedarnath and Simmba. She is quite active on social media and keeps giving various updates to the various through these platforms. Apparently, she has fallen in love with the ‘Sock Them’ anthem and shared her excitement about the World Cup on Instagram. Furthermore, in her message, she asked Virat Kohli and the boys to bring the cup back home.

“Obsessed with the freshest cricket anthem of the season – #SockThem! @virat.kohli and the boys gonna slay and bring it home ???? ???? @vivianakadivine @pumaindia,” she wrote in her post.

Team India will begin its ambitious campaign on June 5th against South Africa in Southampton. The team will be on the road in the next few days after this game as they are set to play some back-to-back matches. They will face Australia and New Zealand in the next two encounters before they come face-to-face against Pakistan. Thus far, Pakistan never managed to defeat India in a World Cup game. While they look to break the jinx, India will want the record to be intact.
