The time that they’ve spent in England thus far hasn’t gone according to the plans for Pakistan. First, they were humbled by the home team in the bilateral ODI series. Then, to make things worse, the ‘Men in Green’ lost to Afghanistan in their first practice game of the World Cup 2019. There are several boxes to be ticked for Pakistan as they take Bangladesh on in the next warm-up fixture.

With this being their last opportunity before the World Cup 2019, they’d want to boost their morale by getting a win under the belt. However, it won’t be easy against a Bangladesh team that is just as unpredictable as Pakistan. The side has a good amount of match practice and they also won the tri-series involving Windies and Ireland recently. Both the teams will push hard for a win and this should be a closely fought contest.

Here is the guide to select the Captain and vice-captain for Dream11 Fantasy:

Captain Suggestions:

1. Babar Azam

You must consider Babar Azam as either captain or the vice-captain while picking your fantasy team. He likes playing the long innings and scored 112 runs off 108 balls against Afghanistan. He’d have been disappointed that he couldn’t get the job done for his team. When Babar takes the field on Sunday, he will be eager to put up a better show and contribute in a winning cause.

2. Shakib Al Hasan

Shakib Al Hasan is expected to be fit for the warm-up game against Pakistan. In case he plays, he makes for a very good choice as the captain of your side. He will be batting at the crucial number three position and has scored two half-centuries in the three games that he played in the tri-nation series. Moreover, he is someone who can offer you at least one or two wickets.

3. Tamim Iqbal

Tamim Iqbal is yet another highly reliable performer for Bangladesh. The opener has shown signs of good form of late. In the previous four innings, he scored two half-centuries. However, he missed out on making it big on both these instances and will look to make the upcoming game count with a big knock.

Vice-captain suggestions:

1. Soumya Sarkar

Bangladesh has tested both Soumya Sarkar and Liton Das for the second opener’s spot. The left-hander came up with better performances in the last three innings that he played scoring half-centuries in all of them. In the tri-series final against Windies, he gave his side with an excellent start by scoring a quickfire 66 off 41 balls.

2. Wahab Riaz

With two new balls being used in ODI cricket at the moment, reverse swing is almost a dying trend. But Wahab Riaz added life to this skill and was lethal at the death in the previous match. He picked up three wickets and posed several questions to the batsmen. Going forward, he could well be the leader of the pace attack for Pakistan in the big event.

3. Shoaib Malik

The third option for the vice-captain is quite tricky and there as there are several names available. You can choose between Imam-ul-Haq, Shoaib Malik, Fakhar Zaman or Imad Wasim. However, none of them has been as consistent in recent times and it’d be a risky call. If you want to select any one among them, Malik has to be the most preferred option. He is someone who often gets into the 40s and makes it big on his day.

Final picks for your Dream11 Fantasy team

Captain – Shakib Al Hasan | Vice-captain – Wahab Riaz
