Former Pakistani bowler Touseef Ahmed had alleged that Sarfaraz Ahmed and Mickey Arthur were the reason why left-handed batter Fawad Alam was not picked in the Pakistan side for the 2018 England tour.

And to that, Sarfaraz Ahmed has now offered his response. The Pakistan wicket-keeper batter has stated that what happens inside the dressing room should stay within the dressing room.

Sarfaraz also added that if he starts talking about the things that happen inside the Pakistan dressing room, then many people might feel bad about it.

“Some things shouldn’t come out of the dressing room. If they start coming out, and if I say something, then a lot of people will feel bad,” said Sarfaraz Ahmed as quoted by Cricwick.

Fawad Alam experienced a stellar run in 2021 in Test cricket

Fawad Alam was in rollicking form in 2021 in Test match cricket. The left-handed batter scored 571 runs in 13 innings last year and scored his runs at an average of over 55.

Also, Alam scored 3 centuries and 2 half-centuries and was the second-highest run-scorer for the Pakistan side in 2021 in the whites. After he made his debut in 2009, Alam did not play a single Test match for the Pakistan side for more than a decade.

However, the left-hander has made his second wind count and has emerged as one of the vital cogs of the Pakistan side with the willow in hand in the Test arena.

Alam has played 15 Test matches for the Pakistan side and scored 953 runs at an average of 47.65. He has scored 2 fifties and 5 hundreds for Pakistan in the Test arena.
