'I’m so proud of you!' - Rumoured girlfriend Prachi Singh lauds Prithvi Shaw for stellar batting show against KKR

In the 25th match of the ongoing 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Delhi Capitals ended up on the right side courtesy of Prithvi Shaw. The Capitals registered a stunning victory over the two-time champion Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by seven wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to regain the second position on the points table.

DC’s opening batsman Prithvi Shaw caused carnage on the field as he took the Knight Riders bowlers to the cleaners. Batting second, Shaw gave DC a jaw-dropping start as he smashed six consecutive boundaries to seamer Shivam Mavi in the first over. The same was followed by the youngster continuing his blistering form throughout the game as he hammered 82 runs in just 41 deliveries with the help of eleven boundaries and three maximums.

Shaw was aptly supported by Shikhar Dhawan at the top of the order as the senior batter played the role of an anchor and added 46 runs to the scoreboard. The exploits by Prithvi resulted in DC chasing the target of 155 runs within 16.3 overs and scripting their fifth win in the ongoing T20 Extravaganza. After the game, Shaw was also honoured with the Man of the Match Award.

Prachi Singh takes a cheeky jibe at Prithvi Shaw

For his spectacular performance, the 21-year-old received applause and appreciation from all over the cricket fraternity. However, amidst all the wishes, one that stood out came from the batsman’s rumoured girlfriend Prachi Singh. Though there has been no confirmation of a love affair between the two either from the actress or the cricketer, their constant chatter on social media and Prachi’s regular posts for the opening batsman reveal a different story.

On Thursday, April 29 too, the 25-year-old actress took to her official Instagram handle to congratulate her rumoured boyfriend for the standout performance against KKR. Posting a picture of Shaw receiving the Man of the Match Award, Prachi wrote, “I’m so proud of you!”

In another story, the actress also took a cheeky dig at Prithvi for bagging almost all the awards. Posting a collage of Shaw receiving all the accolades, Prachi asked if the batsman needed a new suitcase to pack all his awards.
