Imran Nazir to make a comeback in the Pakistan Super League 2018

The ardent supporters of Cricket especially Pakistan Cricket won’t be too unfamiliar with the name of Imran Nazir. He was a hard-hitting opening batsman who played some aggressive knocks for his team. However, he had the knack of throwing away his wicket after promising starts. His batting prowess, especially in the 50 over format, had made him one of the budding stars for Pakistan. His masterly 64 on his test debut against Sri Lanka had raised the bar of expectations.
His majestic innings of 131 against West Indies at Bridgetown, Barbados further enhanced his reputation. He followed it up with another stroke-filled hundred scoring 127 against New Zealand at Lahore. Yet, a string of poor scores against Australia brought his test career to a premature end.
Nazir Set to play for the Multan Sultans
In a much-anticipated turn of events, Nazir would be playing for the Multan Sultans at Multan Cricket Stadium. In a video posted on social media, Nazir informed his fans that he will be stepping out for the friendly match on February 4. Nazir has worked really hard on his fitness and will be eager to step out on the field. Earlier, it was reported that he may play for any of the franchises in the PSL. In his message, Nazir thanked his fans for their tireless support.
Nazir said that he would surely return to Cricket if he deems himself to be fit. Nazir last represented the national team in 2012.But, he managed to play Domestic Cricket till 2014. It will be interesting to note if Nazir is seen in his old touch as it would rekindle his hopes of making a comeback to the Pakistan National team.
Pakistan Super League’s 2018 season is going to start from 22nd of February with defending champions Peshawar Zalmi taking on Multan Sultans.
