Sri Lanka never got going as Ravindra Jadeja brought his A-game out

Without wasting any time, skipper Rohit decided to enforce follow-on as they invited the visitors to have a bat again. However, downfall of the Lankan side continued as they lost their experienced batter Lahiru Thirimanne at a score of nine runs. Sri Lanka’s top-scorer in the first inning, Nissanka also followed the suit soon as he was caught behind off the bowling of veteran spinner Ashwin.

Despite several of their batters getting a start none of them managed to capitalize and went on to make a big score. As a result, Sri Lanka kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Jadeja continued his good form in the second inning as well scalping four wickets. Pacer Mohammed Shami also chipped in with two wickets. As a result, India eventually clinched the contest by a massive margin.
