India A and England Lions are currently playing the fourth One-Dayer at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. India A have already sealed the series by winning the first three matches and the visitors are playing for pride at the moment. However, the game was stopped due to a bizarre reason as the bees attacked the spectators.

England Lions opted to bat after winning the toss but their woes with the willow continued. Shardul Thakur nipped out the openers early even as Sam Hain and Ben Duckett were also sent back to reduce them 55/4. Sam Billings and Ollie Pope then played well to stitch a half-century stand but the run-scoring was too slow.

Three people admitted

During the match though the bees attacked the fans sitting in the stands according to the Asianet News. The play had to be stopped due to the same reason and three persons were admitted to the hospital as well. Meanwhile, no players were bitten but the game didn’t go ahead for 15 minutes and once the bees were cleared from the Stadium, the play was resumed.

India A are dominating the proceedings at the moment. England Lions have scored 176 runs for the loss of six wickets after 45 overs. Ollie Pope played superbly for his 65-run knock but he consumed 103 balls and found an ideal foil in Steven Mullaney who is still batting on 29 off 38 deliveries.

There are a number of changes in the Indian side for the last two matches of the series. Rishabh Pant has returned into the mix while Ankit Bawne is leading the team. All the eyes will be on Pant as the selectors have decided to give him game time and also cleared that he has a chance to get picked in the World Cup squad as well. KL Rahul is also in the focus and would love to make an impact in this game after failing in the previous match.
