South Africa A will round off their tour of India when they take on the home side in the 2nd Four-day game at Mysore. The match will be played at Narasimha Raja Wadiyar Ground in Mysore on September 17th at 09:30 AM IST.
After winning the first four-day game by seven wickets, India A will hope to clean sweep the visitors by following it up another comprehensive performance. In the first game, the all-round performance led by Jalaj Saxena (2-22 & 61*), disciplined bowling performance led by Thakur (3-29 & 2-31) and spearheaded by Shubhman Gill’s 90 with the bat, India A registered an easy seven-wicket win.
The Proteas, on the other hand, despite losing the first game will be buoyed by the bowling performance from Lungi Ngidi and Dan Piedt and will be hoping that the likes of Hamza (44), Klaasen (48) go on to convert their starts into substantial scores in the 2nd game.
According to the weather report, there is 30-35 per cent of the shower.
With persistent rain threatening to savage most part of the game, the moisture in the pitch could prove to be an advantage for the fast bowlers.
- Wriddhiman Saha will lead the India A side for the 2nd Four-day game while regular openers in Eashwaran and Priyank Panchal will assume their roles at the top of the order.
- Umesh Yadav, who was recently dropped from the national side has been included in the team ahead of Shardul Thakur.

India A: From an Indian perspective all eyes will be on Shubhman Gill as the right-hander prepares for his impending International debut. Gill top-scored with 90 in the 1st match and it will be interesting to see how he goes tomorrow. Easwaran and Panchal, who are on the fringe of India’s selection will also be looking to impress the selectors. On the bowling front, the likes of Umesh Yadav will be looking to make a mark after the national snub while the spin bowling department by Gowtham.
South Africa A: The visitors will hope their batsmen go on and convert the starts that they got in the first match. And the onus will be on Klaasen, Markram, Hamza, and Mulder to spearhead the batting unit. The bowling unit will be led by Lungi Ngidi and Piedt while Lutho Sipmala could be an X-factor.

With rain expected to play a major part, opting for fast bowlers in favour of spinners could be an ideal punt.
Considering how the tour has gone thus far and the way India A has been performing, they’ll start as favourites for the game. However, one can’t rule out a tough fight from the visitors and with a lot of rain in the air, they might just get away with a draw.
