The T20 World Cup is all set to get underway in the UAE from October 17 wherein India will play its first match against Pakistan on October 24. After the successful completion of the high-profile event, India would indulge in a lot of cricketing action at home as they will be hosting New Zealand, West Indies, Sri Lanka, and South Africa.

In the same process, India will lock horns with Kiwis for three T20Is and two Tests followed by three T20Is and ODIs each against West Indies. India will rub shoulders with Sri Lanka for two Tests and three T20Is which will be followed by five-match T20I series against South Africa. The BCCI has already prepared a schedule for India’s home series to be followed after T20 WC.

Though the schedule has already been chalked out for India’s above-mentioned series, the final nod on the same will be given after the meeting with respective authorities on September 20. It has to be noted that India played its last international series at home in February 2021 when England visited for a jumbo series.

After the England series, the Indian leg of IPL 2021 kicked off which was halted midway due to the eruption of COVID-19 cases across the camps. The same will resume in the UAE from September 19 with a match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. In the next session of the home series to be played by India, a lot of cricketing action is on cards wherein they will be playing 14 T20Is, only three ODIs, and four Tests.
