4 – Number of fifty-plus opening stands India has recorded in Test cricket in 2016/17. The previous half century stand before this came in Chennai Test vs England where Rahul and Parthiv Patel put on 152.

5 – Steven Smith became the 5th visiting captain to score a 150+ score in Test cricket in India. The last one was Alastair Cook in 2012.

5 – Number of centuries Steven Smith has scored as captain against India, the 2nd most by any player against India as captain in Tests. Clive Lloyd scored 7 centuries as West Indies’ captain over India in this format.

49.3 – Number of overs Ravindra Jadeja bowled in Australia’s first innings. These are the most overs an Indian bowled since Wellington Test match in 2014 vs New Zealand. Zaheer Khan and Jadeja himself bowled 51 and 52 overs respectively in the 2nd innings of that Test.
