After restricting India on day 1, the New Zealand top order, led by their captain Kane Williamson resisted the India’s spin duo on the rain effected 2nd day. India added 27 runs to their overnight score before losing their final wicket. Latham and Williamson shared an unbeaten century stand for 2nd wicket before the rain washed out play in the final session. New Zealand finished at 152/1 on day 2 with 166 runs behind India’s total.
