After an easy scoop of winning flavor against Australia, the Indian team led by skipper Virat Kohli will take the field to face New Zealand in a 3-match ODI series. Kane Williamson and his men are aware of the challenges that lie ahead. India have been ruthless recently, as they won 5-0 against Sri Lanka and 4-1 against Australia in the ODI series.

In the previous face-off between the two sides last year, India won the series by a 3-2 margin. Indian leggie Amit Mishra was adjudged the man of the series. Even though Mishra is not in the squad this time around, the Kiwis can’t breathe easy as the hosts have the duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. The visitors faltered against Shahbaz Nadeem and Karan Sharma during the first warm-up game and the signs aren’t too encouraging.

India are currently ranked 2nd in ICC ODI rankings while New Zealand are at the fifth spot. The home team will go into this series as favorites but only time will tell if the Blackcaps can stop the winning run of men in blue
