India and England are playing in the second Test in the much important series. However, with the action between the two teams continuing for the 2nd Test, there is already anticipation for the third Test match. There are many reasons why there is a hype going around the third Test. The match is due to start on February 24 in Ahmedabad.

Firstly, the third Test between India and England will be only the second day-night Test match in India. In 2019, Bangladesh had visited India for a day-night match in Kolkata. In addition, the match will be played at the Sardar Patel Cricket Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad, which is the largest stadium in the world right now with 1,10,000 people capacity.

The stadium was inaugurated in early 2020 after the reconstruction, but this will be the first international match on this ground. Another fact which would excite the fans, especially the ones in Ahmedabad or Gujarat, is that crowd will be allowed for this match as well. After the first Test was played behind the closed doors, crowd was allowed for the second game.

Only 50% tickets to go for sale for the 3rd India-England Test

This will also be the first international match which will be played in Ahmedabad after more than six years. The old Motera stadium could hold around 55,000 people at once. It was completely demolished and a world-class stadium was built in its place. Gujarat Cricket Association announced on Saturday that the tickets will be sold only online as there are still COVID-19 restrictions.

In order to get the tickets, one has to log onto the official website of Gujarat Cricket Association. For tickets, one can also log onto bookmyshow.com. The sale for the tickets started on February 14 morning. Tickets for all the days of the Test are currently available for sale. The first day of the day-night Test will start at 2:30 PM IST on February 24.

Only 50% of crowd have been allowed for now. Even in the Chennai Test, there were only 50% of the tickets which were on sale. There are a variety of prices of tickets which are available for the day-night Test, starting from INR 300 and ranging up to INR 2,500.
