Former India captain and opener Virender Sehwag who retired from international cricket some time back is back again as a cricket commentator during the ongoing World T20 2016. He said that the Indian team is the team to beat in this World Cup despite their start.

“I had picked India, New Zealand, South Africa and West Indies before the start of the tournament. I still feel that way, with India winning the title 99 per cent. Okay, they lost to New Zealand in Nagpur but the same thing happened in 2011 (when India lost to South Africa in Nagpur) and we went on to the win the World Cup,” said Sehwag.

Sehwag also showered praise on Virat Kohli, who won the match against Pakistan at Kolkata few nights ago. He said that his kids do not move away from the TV, when Kohli is batting. Sehwag also said that India will win their match comfortably against Bangladesh on March 23. He had some special words for Kohli, the winner of the man of the match award against Pakistan.

He said, “The way Kohli is batting at the moment is amazing. It is difficult to take your eyes off the TV when he is batting.Even my kids want to see him bat,” said Sehwag after being reminded of his witty one-liners while commentating on the Indo-Pak clash.

He also says that Harbhajan Singh should play in place of Hardik Pandya, because on turning pitches he can be dangerous and give four very good overs and can contribute with the bat. He also said that Ravindra Jadeja should continue to play in the XI despite not getting chances to contribute with the bat.

About Dhoni, Sehwag said that he is just 34 and can easily play for 4-5 years more. He said,” He is just 34, Sachin (Tendulkar) played till 40. He can play for another four years and it will be great if he can end on a high after the 2019 World Cup.”

Sehwag retired from all forms of international cricket in last year, though he was seen batting in the All Stars game and the Masters Champions League. He will also be seen as the mentor for the Kings XI Punjab.
