Indian cricketers have wished Indian former captain MS Dhoni as he featured in his 300th One Day International for India on Thursday. Recently, he achieved the same feat in the recently concluded ODI series against Sri Lanka by playing as many One-Dayers but he had played 3 matches for Asia XI a few years ago. He is currently playing in the second match of the 5-match series against Australia in the limited overs format.

The Indian stalwart is in exceptional form currently as he has been dismissed only once in last 5 matches. In his second ‘homecoming’ in Chennai, Dhoni scored a magnificent 79 off 87 when the Men in Blue were reeling at 87/5. His innings helped India post a more than competitive total of 281 on the board. Fans would love to see him continue in the same way until 2019 Cricket World Cup.

Dhoni’s teammates wish him on the special occasion

Suresh Raina who is a very close ally of MS Dhoni had a close eye on his achievement and took to social media website Twitter. He wished his Chennai Super Kings skipper ahead of the game along with his wishes on his landmark ODI. He was followed by Shikhar Dhawan and Robin Uthappa who sent him their wishes for the former captain ‘cool’. The former also expressed that he always liked playing alongside Mahi.

Here is how Twitterati erupted to wish the Indian legend:

India looking good in the second match

The Men in Blue is all set to post another hefty total in the ongoing game at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. After opting to bat first, the hosts were rocked early as Rohit Sharma hit the ball back to the bowler. But Ajinkya Rahane and the skipper Virat Kohli made sure that there were no more hiccups as both stitched a crucial stand of 102 runs in around 18 overs. The former was unfortunately run out after reaching the half-century but Kohli is going strong. India have posted 195 runs in 37 overs.
