India and Pakistan may be hardcore rivals on the 22 yards but their relationship away from the ground is pretty chilled out. The players seem to share a great bond and hold mutual respect towards each other. After the high-voltage final that took place at the Kennington Oval, the Indian players were seen to be involved in a moment of laughter with their Pakistani counterparts.

The main story:

We got another example of the same when Pakistani opener Azhar Ali tweeted some pictures that are sure to melt the hearts of the fans of both countries. In his latest tweet, the 32-year-old revealed pictures of Indian cricketer MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh posing with his two sons. The pictures are cute as ever and are certainly the best things on social media today.

Ali also thanked the three Indian players for taking out time and spending it with his kids. He even hailed the trio as absolute legends of the game. Mahendra Singh Dhoni was also spotted with Pakistani captain Sarfraz Khan’s baby before the final battle which flourished all over the internet.

Rashid Latif, former Pakistan wicket-keeper offered the hand of friendship in a recorded video of his to the Indians, after Pakistan’s Champions Trophy triumph. He also tried to put an end to the ‘Baap baap hota hai’ saga, which was started by Virender Sehwag and asked for a similar response from the opener.

It is good to see the closeness among these cricketers despite being opponents on the field. It is the sheer stupidity of the fans who make things complicated and ugly by turning it into a social media war. It is always a pleasure to see heart-warming gestures between cricketers across the borders which gives us a reason to label it as a ‘gentleman’s game’.
