IND v WI, T20I series: Squads, schedule and live telecast

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already announced the Indian squad for the two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) against West Indies in the United States of America. Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is back to leading the squad which is almost similar to the one that featured in the ICC World T20 earlier this year.

Opening batsman Lokesh Rahul has been rewarded for his top-notch performances during the tour of Zimbabwe as he is the only player retained from that squad. Shikhar Dhawan continues to have the faith of the selectors despite a string of poor performances in the World T20.

The names missing from the WT20 squad are that of left-arm fast bowler Ashish Nehra, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Pawan Negi and all-rounder Hardik Pandya. While Nehra is out with an injury, Yuvraj has been out of favor since the tournament.

Raina, Harbhajan, Negi and Pandya have been dropped after failing to impress even during the Indian Premier League (IPL) that followed the World T20. Mohammad Shami who hasn’t played a limited overs game for the Men in Blue for over 18 months made a successful comeback in the Test team in the ongoing series against West Indies has been included in the team.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Amit Mishra and surprisingly Stuart Binny are the other names from the Test team on the tour of the Caribbean who also been able to retain their spots in the team for the T20Is.

Team India will play two matches on 27 and 28^th August in Florida.
