Indian team for the tri-series in Australia: The Indian team can call itself fortunate and have  a great opportunity to get accustomed to the conditions before the World Cup 2015 with an ODI tri-series against Australia and England in Australia.

India though has struggled in the tests have done considerably well in the limited overs format. The biggest since the world cup 2011 win being the ICC Champions Trophy that they won in England. It is more or less the same team that will play the ICC cricket World cup as well for India in Australia and New Zealand starting February 14, 2015.

The tri-series will give the players a right chance to get their combination and formula right for the World Cup, as the conditions, pitches and grounds will remain one or less the same.

Indian selectors have continued to show faith on the same lot for the tri-series and the ICC world cup 2015 as well.

The team for the tri-series is:

MS Dhoni (Captain, Wicket-keeper), Virat Kohli (Vice Captain), Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu,  Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja,  Stuart Binny, Umesh Yadav, Mohammad Shami, Ishant Sharma,  Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Dhawal Kulkarni and Mohit Sharma.

There are two additions to the tri-series squad other than the 15 who have been picked for the world cup 2015 as well in form of Dhawal Kulkarni and Mohit Sharma. Both will be kept along the team as back up pacers in the tri-series and in case of an adversity will replace the regular pacers even for the ICC world cup 2015.
