India’s U19 World Cup-winning captain Yash Dhull has now been named in the Delhi squad for the upcoming Ranji Trophy tournament.

On the other hand, Ishant Sharma will not take part in the tournament and has confirmed that he will not be available for selection. Sharma has communicated his decision to the President of the DDCA, Rohan Jaitley.

A selector stated that Dhull will be extremely high on confidence even though he has not featured in a lot of red-ball games. “His confidence is high and even though he hasn’t played a lot of red-ball matches, we want him to get a taste of first-class cricket,” said a selector as quoted by News18.
