IPL 10: Harsha Bhogle confirms participation in Hindi commentary panel

Arguably one of the most followed commentators in the modern day cricket world, Harsha Bhogle, is all set to make a comeback to the commentary panel. He recently confirmed his participation in the IPL 10 with a tweet for his fans. There is a slight catch though. There might be people wondering that there was no mention of Harsha Bhogle in the official list of commentators for IPL 2017.

Well, Bhogle is making a comeback but not in his preferred field of comm box. He will be doing the Hindi commentary this season and will share the commentary box with the likes of Aakash Chopra. In a recent tweet, he confirmed the same and wrote, “Mujhe batate hui badi prasannata ho rahi hai ke is saal main #IPL2017 me SET Max par Hindi samalochak ke roop mein aapse baatchit karoonga”.

He further added that this is not the first time he is doing the commentary in Hindi language. Despite that, he feels that it will be a new beginning for him. In another tweet, he wrote, “Waise maine isse pehle bhi Hindi mein samalochan kiya hai lekin ek tarah se yeh ek naya safar hoga. Ummeed hai safal reh paoonga.”

Another commentator, former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra, is a renowned master in the field of Hindi commentary. His insights and clarity of thoughts in the comm box has won him a lot of fans in the recent times. It comes as no surprise that even Harsha Bhogle knows this fact. He tweeted to Aakash saying he would want to have a few lessons from him. He tweeted, “Lagta hai ab @cricketaakash ki Hindi paathshala me bharti hona padega”.

Aakash Chopra did not keep quiet either and was quick to respond back to Bhogle’s tweet. A very modest Aakash Chopra tweeted, “Aapke commentary ke school mein humein bhi dakhila de dejiyega…seekhne ko bahut milega, Harsha ji”.

Bhogle then responded back saying that for now it is Aakash who is the teacher for now and he is merely a student. “Filhaal to app masterji, main shagird!” he wrote.
