David Warner launched an assault over the Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday night in front of a 34 thousand strong home crowd smashing 126 off just 59 balls. After his catch was dropped early in the innings, he flooded by smashing boundaries and huge sixes. Rain tried to spoil the play during the KKR innings but it didn’t damage the outfield as much as Warner had done to KKR’s chances of winning the game.

It is safe to say Warner defeated KKR alone as the visitors managed to score just 161 against an all round Sunrisers bowling attack, 35 more than what Warner scored by playing half the overs of his team.  Here are all the statistical highlights of the one-sided affair.

1 – David Warner’s century in this game is the first ever century scored by a Sunrisers Hyderabad player in the IPL. Previous highest individual score for GL was 93* vs GL in 2016 by David Warner only.

2 – Sunrisers Hyderabad has scored 200+ in consecutive games for the 2nd time in IPL. They scored 207 vs KXIP in their previous game. SRH have scored 200+ in 2016 final and 2017 opening game. They are the first team to do score 200+ in consecutive games on two different occasions. CSK, MI and RCB did it once each.

3 – Only the third time any team has scored 200+ against KKR in the IPL. The 209/3 by SRH in this game is the highest by any team over them going past 204/2 by KXIP in 2010.

3 – Number of centuries in IPL for David Warner, the joint 3rd most by any player. Warner scored two centuries for Delhi Daredevils. Only Gayle (5) and Kohli (4) have got more IPL tons than Warner. ABD also has 3 IPL hundreds.

4.1 – Team overs by which David Warner completed his fifty in this game, the earliest by any player in IPL. Suresh Raina completed his fifty by 4.2 overs vs KXIP for CSK in 2014.

6 – Number of century stands between David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan in Twenty20 cricket for the opening wicket, the most for any pair in his format. They have gone past Luke Wright and Chris Nash pair who have 5 100-run stands for opening wicket in Twenty20s.

6 – Number of centuries David Warner has scored in the Twenty20 cricket, the joint 3rd most by any player. Only Gayle (18) and McCullum (7) have scored more T20 hundreds than Warner. L Wright and M Klinger also have 6 centuries in T20s.

17 – Number of fifty-plus scores for Robin Uthappa as wicket-keeper in the IPL so far, the most by any player. He overhauled MS Dhoni who has 17 fifty-plus scores as wicket-keeper in the IPL.

79 – Runs scored by Sunrisers in the powerplay overs in this game, the highest for them in any IPL game. Previous highest was 76 runs vs CSK in 2015 at Hyderabad only.

126 – David Warner’s 126 is the highest individual score by a captain in the IPL going past Virender Sehwag’s 119 for DD vs DC in 2011 at this very ground. Warner’s score is the 6th highest score by a captain in Twenty20 cricket.

1123 – Runs scored by David Warner in the IPL at the RGICS, Hyderabad. He became only the 3rd overseas player to score 1000 runs at a venue in IPL. Chris Gayle (1538) and Ab de Villiers (1368) scored 1000+ runs at Bangalore.
