Delhi Daredevils brought an end to their 5 consecutive losses in the IPL in style by chasing down a huge target of 186 against the strong Sunrisers Hyderabad bowling at the Feroz Shah Kotla coming in from a disastrous 67 all out against Kings XI Punjab.

The defending champions posted 185/3 in their 20 overs with Yuvraj Singh scoring an unbeaten 70 off just 44 balls and contributions arising from other batsmen as well. The home side too had all their players contributing in the chase to keep DD’s playoff hopes alive.

1 – For the first time in his 55-match Twenty20 cricket career, Mohammed Shami has got a man of the match award.

2 – Number of times Rashid Khan went wicket-less in the 11 IPL games so far. Both of those have come against Delhi Daredevils.

2/36 – Mohammed Shami’s bowling figures of 2/36 is his 2nd best bowling figures in the IPL so far. His best is 2/34 vs RCB last year.

4 – Number of fifties Yuvraj Singh has scored in the IPL vs DD, the most he has scored against any opposition. DD is the only opposition against whom Yuvraj has aggregated over 400 in the IPL.

8 – Number of fifty-plus scores came in losing cause for Yuvraj Singh in the IPL. He has scored 12 fifty-plus so far with one 4 of those coming in wins. The win-loss ratio of Yuvraj’s IPL fifties is 0.67, the joint lowest for anyone with more than 5 IPL fifties. Four out of Cameron White’s 6 IPL fifties came in losses.

10 – Number of batsmen scoring 20+ in this game, the most number of batsmen with 20+ in an IPL game. Among the 11 players who batted in this game, only Chris Morris (15*) scored below 20.

20 – Number of fifty-plus stands between David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan, the joint most fifty-plus stands for any pair in the IPL. They equalled Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle pair’s 20 fifty-plus scores.

51.60 – Mohammed Shami’s bowling average of 51.60 in the IPL is the 2nd worst for any player. David Hussey averages 59.25 in the IPL. No other bowler has an average of over 50 with the ball in IPL.

70* – Yuvraj Singh’s unbeaten 70 is his 2nd highest individual score in the IPL so far. His best is 83 for RCB in 2014 vs RR. Both of his top two scores in the IPL came in losing cause.

186 – Target chased down successfully by Delhi Daredevils in this game, the 3rd highest successful chase by any team in Twenty20 cricket at Feroz Shah Kotla. This is the highest chase for DD at this venue and their 3rd highest anywhere in the IPL. They chased down 192 in the previous year and 188 twice in the IPL.

186 – Delhi Daredevils’ run-chase of 186 is the 2nd highest successful chase in the IPL for any team against Sunrisers Hyderabad. KXIP chased down 206 in 2014 at Hyderabad.

1005 – Runs scored by Karun Nair in the IPL so far. He became the 55th player to complete 1000 runs in the IPL.
