The Kings XI Punjab add one more win in their bag in order to have a shot at the playoffs with a win over the Royal Challengers Bangalore in a low-scoring game at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The home side continued their dismal performance with the bat after their bowlers restricted the KXIP to 138/8 it’d have been even smaller if not for a late blitz from Axar Patel.

In a low chase, the RCB lost their top batsmen Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers with Sandeep Sharma getting all the three wickets before the 5th over as the hosts never came back into the game. A late struggle from the RCB lower-order helped them reach 119 before they were bowled out with one over still to be played.
