Sunrisers Hyderabad had the chance of sealing their playoffs’ spot in their hands by winning their final league game over the Gujarat Lions which they grabbed very comfortably to keep their hopes of defending the title alive. After being put into bat, Gujarat raced to 111/0 by 11th over with the help of the fifties from Ishan Kishan and Dwayne Smith.
But the SRH bowlers: Mohammed Siraj, Rashid Khan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar pulled back by restricting the home side for just 154. Later in the chase, they lost a couple of early wickets but David Warner and Vijay Shankar’s fifties helped the defending champions through to the winning line.
