Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma seems to be carrying his lady luck with him this season. His wife, Ritika Sajdeh, has often been spotted in the stands supporting him throughout the 2017 edition of the Indian Premier League. Now, the team has managed to cross all hurdles this season but one. After having beaten the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Qualifier 2 of the season, MI are set to play the finals of IPL 10.

Soon after the team registered a 6-wicket win over the Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians players boarded their flight to Hyderabad for the finals. They will be taking on Maharashtra neighbors Rising Pune Supergiant at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad for the ultimate glory this season. The match will be played on May 21 (Sunday) and it promises to be a super Sunday affair.

MI skipper Rohit Sharma is not bothered with the brouhaha around the finals though. He was seen sitting very calmly during the Qualifier 2 in the dugout. Now, his most recent social media upload will only make his fans happy to see that the dynamic batsman is very much relaxed ahead of the big encounter.

Rohit posted a picture with his wife, Ritika, on his Instagram handle. The picture was taken in the flight and it seems that his lady luck is surely alongside him for the big battle. He added a caption to his post as well that suggested the positive intent he is having before the major game of the season. He wrote, “Off to the last hurdle”.

The journey

Talking about the journey the team has had this season, the MI camp started off on a low as they were beaten by Rising Pune Supergiant in their season opener. The same opposition went on to beat them again in the league stages. Barring RPS, no other team seemed to be a tough challenge for them as they finished as the table toppers of the league stage.

They lost to RPS yet again in the Qualifier 1. They then beat the Knight Riders in Qualifier 2 to set up the title clash with their nemesis of the season this season.
