IPL 2018: AB de Villiers enjoys his 'best' shoot ever

The Indian Premier League is arguably the most popular T20 league in the world. No wonder why several brands try to get associated with the franchises and the leagues for their brand marketing. For the players, the tournament is not just about playing non-stop cricket, but also promote their sponsors through advertisements. Recently, South African cricketer AB de Villiers also shot an ad in the same regard.

AB de Villiers, along with other RCB cricketers, was asked to come down for the shoot of a commercial of one of the sponsors of the Royal Challengers Bangalore outfit. And as things turned out in the shoot, the South African veteran ended up having a great time. One might wonder why – well, here is the catch. In the shoot, AB de Villiers and co. were asked to sleep and the directors told them that they would take care of the rest.

The ads cannot get easier than that, can they? Soon after the commercial was done, AB took to his social media handle to post a picture of the commercial. He noted that this was the best shoot ever. All that he had to do in the shoot was to pretend to sleep. In the ad shoot, other RCB cricketers like Umesh Yadav was also seen.

Commenting on the on field performances, the RCB camp lost their first game of the season against the Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday. ABD, on the personal front, had a good little outing in the game where he blasted 44 runs. Team RCB will now be heading home to play their first home game of the season. They will be hosting the Kings XI Punjab in Bengaluru on April 13.
