While yesterday’s fixture between RCB and SRH serves as a testament to AB de Villiers’ incredible abilities, fans also got to see an exemplary display of his trademark sportsmanship. After entertaining the crowds with mouth-watering innings of 69, the Proteas stalwart showed extreme athleticism in the field to save crucial runs and help RCB seal the victory.

However, after all the post-match rituals were done, AB was spotted walking to the stands to cheer and thank the home crowd for their imperative support. He walked up to the fans, shaking hands, and even handed over a souvenir to a lucky fan.

Later, RCB posted a video of the same on their official Twitter handle. It was captioned saying, “Athletic, talented, charming. Add benevolent to the list to describe @ABdeVilliers17 Truly Superhuman #PlayBold #RCBvSRH #RCB.”

It was a clinical win for the Royal Challengers Bangalore as it helped them keep their IPL 2018 campaign alive and ticking. Kane Williamson won the toss and decided to unleash his strong bowling line-up against the home side.

But the might of RCB’s overseas performers proved too much for the visitors, as AB de Villiers, Moeen Ali, and Colin de Grandhomme powered Bangalore to a Herculean total of 218-6, with their sensational batting in the first innings.

However, the Men in Orange showed exactly why they have clinched the first spot on the points table, with their fightback in the second innings of the game. Skipper Williamson led from the front yet again, scoring 81 runs off just 41 balls on the day. Manish Pandey found back his form as well, getting a strong and unbeaten fifty in the chase.

Despite their significant efforts though, SRH could not ultimately taste victory, courtesy of an incredible death bowling performance from Tim Southee, who was exceptional in this game.
