59 matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season are done and dusted as the final is set to take place at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. Fittingly, two of the best teams of the tournament will lock horns in the title clash. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be playing in their seventh final, while the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be looking to triumph for the second time in two attempts. However, a lot of awards will be up for grabs after the game as the cash-rich T20 league will live up to its expectations.

Prize money for the winners and the runners-up:

The team which will be able to hold its nerve during the crunch moments in the final will end up winning the elusive title and also the prize money of Rs 20 Crores. The runners-up of the season have no reason to get disappointed as they will be handed over the cheque of Rs 12.5 Crores for their consistent performances throughout the season. Also, the venues which hosted seven or more matches will get a trophy and Rs 50 Lakhs prize money. The grounds which organised less than seven matches will also get a trophy and Rs 25 Lakhs cheque for their efforts.

Individual awards

Much like every year, there are so many individual awards to be given this season as well. The Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament will take away the prize money of Rs 10 Lakhs. A similar amount of cheque will be handed to the Orange Cap holder (for scoring most runs), Purple Cap holder (for picking most wickets) and the Emerging player who has the ability to become the future star in international cricket.

The IPL is set to award Rs 10 Lakhs for the acrobatics in the field also with the player who took the best catch of the season. There are a couple of new awards, Stylish Player and Nayi Soch, this year and the cricketer winning it will also garner a similar amount of cheque.
