IPL 2018: Ben Duckett keeps Twitter busy with another 'joke' on RCB

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) registered their first victory of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) on Friday by defeating Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). It was also their first home game of the season and the team managed to break their 5-match losing streak courtesy, AB de Villers. After RCB’s loss against KKR in their opening game, Ben Duckett had called the team a joke after which he had to receive so much abuse from Indian fans. However, he has once again shown the courage of doing the same after their victory this time.

Duckett went unsold in the IPL auction earlier this year and is currently in England enjoying his time away from the game. He took a brutal dig at the Men in Red and called them a joke in his tweet a few days ago only to attract a lot of ire from the fans. He was also on the receiving side once when he had called R Ashwin as an ordinary bowler and was dismissed thrice by the same bowler during England’s tour of India in 2016.

Joke of a Win

Ben Duckett seems to be closely following the IPL as he took to Twitter soon after the game between RCB and KXIP got over and congratulated them for the victory. Though he didn’t forget to mention ‘Joke’ in his tweet which has not gone down well with the fans again. “What a win for #RCB!!!!! JokeOfAWin,” he tweeted only to get roasted later on social media.

Few fans interestingly apologised to him on behalf of all the fans for all the abuse he received for his last tweet. But many trolled him and asked if he was really supporting RCB after what happened a few days ago. Though few were not at all pleased with his ‘joke’ comment and lashed out at him again.
