South Africa fast bowler Dale Steyn is currently recovering from the foot injury which he sustained during the Test series against India in January. The fast bowler is upbeat about playing for his country again despite the recent issues with his body which has failed to cope up with a load of his bowling. He has also signed the contract with Hampshire for the ongoing County season as well. However, the superstar is now tripping in Bali in Indonesia and wants to know if there is any way to watch the IPL game on Tuesday.
Only due to his recent injury troubles, no franchise had shown interest in Steyn in the mega-auction earlier this year. Though the cricketer wants to stay updated with the ongoing season in India and it seems that he wants to see the game between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in which one of his teammates and best friends AB de Villiers will be in action on his favourite Wankhede Stadium.
Dale Steyn is enjoying his free time away from cricket currently and is in Bali having fun. He took to his official Twitter handle to know if there is any way to stream IPL games from Indonesia. “So we keen to watch some cricket here in Bali, I’m useless at this, can we stream the IPL?” his tweet read.
The 34-year-old has agreed to play for Hampshire for at least two matches this season as he is expected to get fit soon. The champion cricketer is targetting Sri Lanka tour in July to make his international comeback where the Proteas is set to play 2 Tests, 5 One-Day Internationals and a solitary T20I. It would be a huge boost for the team from rainbow nation if he manages to return to the highest level after battling all the injuries.
Here’s Steyn’s tweet:
