The 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League is in the business end of it. In the lead up to the playoffs, the competition between the sides was immense. Barring the Delhi Daredevils, all other teams had a chance till the final game. The last team to get out of the race was the Kings XI Punjab. The Ravichandran Ashwin led side lost the final league game against the Chennai Super Kings.
It was a must win game for the Kings and they need to beat CSK by a margin of 53 runs or more in the marquee clash. But they ended up losing by 5 wickets in the game, leaving the margin issue of no use whatsoever. Meanwhile, the social media handle of the Delhi Daredeviis wasted no time to troll the Kings XI Punjab. The performances of the double Ds was poor this season.
However, they were very active on the social media with their funny memes and digs. And the Kings perhaps faced the most brutal troll of all. In the recent times, the meme trend that is popular is of the template, “Ghar se nikalte hi…Kuch dur chalte hi”. This template is basically a ‘before’ and ‘after’ scenario. Using the template, the Daredevils mocked the Kings for having shown contrasting run of form in the two halves of the season.
Here is what the Delhi Daredevils posted:

The Kings XI Punjab were definitely hurt but they did not let the opportunity to hit back at the Daredevils go so easily. Theey responded back to the tweet by using a very popular proverb. In their response, they remarked, “People living in glass houses should not throw stones.”
They rightly cited that the Daredevils themselves did not perform too well to be mocking other sides. At the end of the league stages, the Kings finished at the penultimate position in the points table. But the team that finished with the wooden spoon, the last spot in the points table, was the Delhi Daredevils. Also, the Kings posted a series of memes for the Daredevils in their response.
Here is KXIP’s response:
