Veteran commentator and cricket analyst Harsha Bhogle is one of the iconic voices of cricket. Currently, he is one of the commentators in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. While he has a lot of fans who closely follow him for deeper insights in to the game, there are a few who are always eager to pick out flaws from the remarks that he makes.
Recently, during the high intensity Qualifier game between Chennai Super Kings and the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Harsha made a remark that saw him face the heat of some people on the social media. The match had gone down to the wire and was nothing short on entertainment. The fortunes swayed from one end to the other and it was the Chennai Super Kings who eventually won the game by 2 wickets.
Hence, Harsha Bhogle found it apt to compare the game to a beautiful script of a movie. However, the fans misunderstood his tweet and lashed out at him for his remarks. They thought that Harsha was trying to take a dig at the Chennai Super Kings by alleging that they had fixed the game, and hence, had the ‘script’ made.
Here is what Harsha Bhogle had tweeted:
From the headquarters of the film industry, come the finest scripts!! #Chennai. #CSK,” Harsha Bhogle had tweeted after the game.

Bhogle clarifies his words
Well, with the people not understanding what Harsha was trying to say, the commentator had to come up with another tweet. He clarified that he did not literally mean a script that fixed the game or anything of that sort. He clarified that the phrase is used to describe when someone plays very well.
Harsha, in his tweet, wrote, Chill guys. When someone plays well we say “wow, what a script he is writing!”. When a star plays well consistently we say “who writes his scripts!” And so, read this tweet as “wow, CSK, you are playing these matches better than anyone else”.”
