Veteran Indian cricketer Suresh Raina recently missed his first ever game in the Chennai Super Kings outfit. Raina, the most capped player of the franchise, had to miss out on the game against the Kings XI Punjab owing to a slight niggle. His fans are hoping for a speedy recovery and so are the rest of the cricket fraternity. Among the lot who have come up with ‘get well soon’ messages for Suresh Raina, is a member of the Mumbai Indians camp.

Former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes recently took to micro blogging site Twitter to show his concerns for Suresh Raina. He remarked that he is missing the fielding heroics of Raina on the field. The message was in response to a tweet that Raina had earlier posted. Raina had posted a picture of himself after a good workout session. Well, in all likelihood, the picture was an indication that he is fit to take the field again.

Also, during the Kings XI Punjab, the boundary line anchors had spoken to Raina and had asked him about his recovery. Answering the questions, Raina had remarked that the injury is not a major one and he should be fit for the next game.

Here is what Suresh Raina had tweeted:

Jonty Rhodes was quick to respond to the tweet. Rhodes wished a speedy recovery to Raina and did not hesitate in admitting that he is missing Raina’s work on the field. Interestingly, this is not the first time that Jonty Rhodes has praised Suresh Raina. Time and again, he has hailed Raina as one of the better fielders in the modern day cricket. “Hope the injury has recovered little brother; have missed watching you in the field!” Rhodes wrote in his tweet.

The Chennai Super Kings camp has been heavily dented by the injury concerns this season. They have lost the services of Kedar Jadhav for the season. Also, MS Dhoni suffered a back injury during the previous game.
