IPL 2018: Hrithik Roshan most likely to replace Ranveer Singh for the opening ceremony

The eleventh season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be up and running in a few days. Meanwhile, the teams are straining every muscle to provide final touches to their preparations. An opening ceremony is slated to be hosted at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai before the commencement of the first match between the Mumbai Indians and the Chennai Super Kings.
However, while the franchises are more or less settled with their lineups, the organizers are struggling with the list of performances for the 45-minute orgy before the first game. Ranveer Singh was scheduled to perform in the ceremony and was reported to have charged a whopping 5 crores. However, he has injured his shouldered and has subsequently been ruled out.
Hrithik to replace Ranveer
Meanwhile, as per reports in DNA, Hrithik Roshan, the Bollywood actor, is mostly likely to be roped in a replacement of the star. “Ranveer Singh has injured his shoulder during a football match and has been advised not to overstrain it for at least one month. Ranveer is, however, not taking any breaks and will continue shooting for ‘Gully Boy’ as per schedule.” Ranveer’s spokesperson said to the media.
Varun Dhawan, Parineeti Chopra and Jacqueline Fernandez are also set to set the stage ablaze with their scintillating moves. The T20 league has been a tremendous success over the last ten editions and has grown leaps and bounds. The quality of cricket on display has been an absolute delight and quite rightly, it’s among the most popular leagues in the world.
The opening ceremony has seen several eminent celebrities perform ever since the inception of the tournament. The likes of Shraddha Kapoor, Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani have also graced their presence in the opening ceremonies of previous seasons of the IPL.
