Arguably the best team right now in this season, the Sunrisers Hyderabad have defied all the odds and thanks to their extraordinary bowling lineup, they have won three games on the trot. It’s the first time in their club’s history they’ve won the first three games of a season. They now face a difficult task as they combat an on-song Kings XI Punjab at Mohali.

Punjab managed to defeat the Chennai Super Kings in a close fought contest a few days ago. The Sunrisers too were made to work very hard by Mumbai and Kolkata, but they eventually thwarted all the dangers and won those games. Form is on both sides going into this game and it’ll be one hell of an entertainer for the fans.

Despite many protests against Wriddhiman Saha as an opener, the Sunrisers management will be happy with the way things have panned out as of now. Henceforth, no changes are expected for this marquee clash at the PCA Stadium. Here’s the predicted XI of the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Openers – Shikhar Dhawan and Wriddhiman Saha

Shikhar Dhawan started the tournament with an absolute bang. He is looking ominous at the top of the order and his rich vein of form is not helping the opposition’s cause. Dhawan is their most important batsman after Warner’s untimely departure and he should get a lot of runs this season to help his side win their second title.

Wriddhiman Saha previously played for the Kings XI Punjab and famously scored a century for them in the IPL 2014 final. He came in as an opener in that game and that’s the very reason why the SRH management is trusting him in that spot. He will get a few more chances in that position and will be keen to register a big score.

Middle Order – Kane Williamson, Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan

Kane Williamson played a gem of a knock against Kolkata on a track which barely offered anything to the batsmen. His calm and composed fifty took the Sunrisers home and given the team needs quick runs, he might send Manish Pandey at number 3 as well. Pandey is due a big knock after he went for a whopping Rs. 11 Crore in the auction.

Yusuf Pathan is another exciting addition to the lineup. In the previous game, he kept his composure towards the end and finished the game off in style. Henceforth, the SRH management will continue to see him as their main finisher in the setup.

All-rounders – Shakib Al Hasan, Deepak Hooda

Shakib Al Hasan had an outstanding game against the KKR. He was brilliant with the ball and played a game-changing cameo with the bat. Once again he proves the world that he’s a priceless all-rounder and the Sunrisers are using him much more efficiently than his previous IPL club.

Deepak Hooda has been outstanding this season in the field. In the few opportunities he got with the bat, he managed to score some important runs. Finally, the youngster is repaying the trust placed on him by the SRH management.

Bowlers – Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Billy Stanlake, Siddarth Kaul

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was back amongst the wickets and certainly, he will be fighting hard to win the Purple Cap for the third successive season. His partner in crime Siddarth Kaul has been brilliant this season and is chipping in with huge wickets at crucial junctures.

Rashid Khan and his economical bowling is adding a lot of pressure on the opponents. He is proving to be a hard nut to crack and certainly, he is one of the most important members of this team. Billy Stanlake won the player of the match award last game and will be eager to pull off another brilliant spell with the ball.
