The juggernaut of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will come back to the Wankhede Stadium once again as Mumbai Indians (MI) face Delhi Daredevils (DD) on a super Saturday. The Men in Blue are still in search of their first victory and so are their opponents. While MI has been done in by the last over finishes, rain proved to be the undoing for the Daredevils. However, one of the teams will surely get on the board in Mumbai but will the heavenly gods spare them on the day?
Rohit Sharma was disappointed after losing yet another game after coming close to the victory. But his team has got an excellent chance to make their fans smile by registering their first win of the season. Gautam Gambhir, as a captain, has a lot to worry about his team as they are lacking an X-factor it seems. While they are slated to play their first 5 matches away from home, the fact that their home matches might get shifted indicates they need to start soon else things could get worse for them.
How’s the climate in Mumbai?
According to Accu Weather, it is currently hazy in Mumbai ahead of the game and it is set to remain the same during the entire duration of the game. The temperatures will hover around 30-32 Degree Celsius but the humidity in the city is going to make the life difficult for the players. It will be around 70 percent during the match and the overseas players will have to be careful as it may drain them out completely.
Having said that, there are no chances of rain whatsoever and the crowd should be able to enjoy the action of 40 overs.
Overall Verdict: The first afternoon game of MI will be uninterrupted by rain and the encounter is expected to be a close one.
