The eleventh edition of the much-awaited Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to commence on April 7 with Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings locking horns. All the eight franchises are leaving no stone unturned in their preparations as they aim to triumph in the coveted tournament. Even the defending champions Mumbai Indians are not behind as they are set to welcome some new faces in their camp in the upcoming season.

Rohit Sharma led side have been three-time champions in the 10-year history of the Indian T20 extravaganza. The franchise, this time around, has tried their best to build the strongest squad in order to defend their title and win the glittering trophy for the record fourth time under the leadership of Rohit. While they are preparing for the upcoming challenges over the next one and a half month, the camp is having some fun by releasing the cartoon images of the players in order to connect with their fan base.

Twitter convo

The verified Twitter handle of Mumbai Indians, on Thursday, provided an update to their fans and followers saying that some new faces will be joining the team soon. “Paltan, an exciting update is heading your way. Prepare yourself to welcome new faces in our team. Stay tuned! #CricketMeriJaan,” they tweeted. However, the conversation continued with their skipper Rohit Sharma responding them wittily and complained about not informing him about the new inclusions in the team.

“What do you mean by new faces? Why don’t you guys inform me?” Rohit tweeted. In the end, it was revealed that they released the cartoon images of all the players in the Mumbai Indians squad. While Rohit being the skipper could be seen standing with the guns shooting bullets with both his hands, Hardik Pandya’s hair has set fire. Even Kieron Pollard has left for Mumbai to join the squad according to the funny faces.
