IPL 2018: Ranveer Singh hails Rashid, Rashid names his favorite movie

He praised Rashid for a brilliant outing that he had.

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is an ardent cricket fan. He is closely following the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. After the recent fixture, Ranveer took to micro blogging site to express his excitement about the grand finale of the season. In the penultimate match of IPL 2018, the Sunrisers Hyderabad beat the Kolkata Knight Riders to seal a final date with the Chennai Super Kings.

The chief architect of the SRH victory in the Qualifier 2 was Rashid Khan. Rashid performed well in all departments of the game. He smacked an unbeaten 34 off 10 balls to help his side post a sizeable total on the board. Later, he returned with figures of 3/19 in the four overs that he bowled. This included the wickets of Robin Uthappa, Chris Lynn, and Andre Russell.

In addition to this, Rashid made his presence felt on the field as well. He took two catches in the final over and also inflicted a run out in the game. After his stellar show, he received praises from all corners of cricket world. Even the non-cricketing fraternity praised him. Ranveer Singh was one of the them. Ranveer, in his tweet, remarked that he is very happy for Kane Williamson. He praised Rashid for a brilliant outing that he had.

Rashid was quick to acknowledge the good wishes that Ranveer came up with. He thanked Ranveer for the good wishes and also went on to quote that his favorite movie is Bajirao Mastani, which starred Ranveer Singh in the titular role.
